History

1983

The school was started by Mr. Joseph Thomas with 65 children and 3 teachers. It was called The Asian Kindergarten

1984

School was renamed to The Asian School

1989

Umm Al Hassam campus was started

1989

The school was accorded recognition up to the primary level by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain

1992

Appraised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, India and the school was granted affiliation (No. 5230002) to the Secondary level

1997

The first batch of Grade 10 students appeared for the All India Secondary School Examination and the school achieved a 100% pass result

1999

Juffair campus was started

2003

School strength surpasses 2500 students

2008

The Silver Jubilee of the school was celebrated with much fervor. The event was graced by government and other important dignitaries from India and Bahrain

2015

The whole school was moved to an 8.2 acre campus in Tubli which was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Honourable Minister of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain

2016

The school auditorium was christened as the Dr. Abdul Kalam Memorial Auditorium by the Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Alok Kumar Sinha

2017

Appraised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, India and the school was upgraded to the Senior Secondary level

2019

The new extension block of the school was inaugurated increasing the size of the campus to 10.75 acres. The school strength surpasses 4500 students with the inclusion of the first batch of Grade 11 students

2021

The first batch of Grade 12 students appeared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) and the school achieved a 100% pass result.
